Overview
The Barkley Ridge Apartments were financed with 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Tax-exempt and Taxable bonds. Construction of the Barkley Ridge Apartments were completed in September of 2008 and represent 112 units consisting of one, two and three bedrooms. Amenities and construction quality at Barkley Ridge are very comparable to the Tarmigan Apartments, a market rate property. Many obstacles were overcome with the project including, but not limited to, the construction of a 10,000 sq ft water retention vault which sits underneath a building, a complex force sewer main system and wetland buffer encroachment allowing for an additional 12 units of housing.
